Suitability for young children, elderly or infirm
We are keen to offer everyone who stays here a safe and happy experience.
Not suitable for the elderly or infirm.
The nature of the location of the Gite means that it is not suitable for very elderly or infirm guests, nor do we have access for wheelchairs, regrettably. The only access is via a set of stone steps that have some wear through use over more than a century. In addition, the bedrooms are situated on the first floor of the Gite up some old-style winding wooden stairs. Furthermore, access to the swimming pool is down a long flight of stone steps.
Young Children.
To be totally honest, the Gite (and the Cordes area) is set up for adults rather than children, although those aged say 6-12 do enjoy lazy days by our pool and exploring the medieval village centre. There is probably not enough for older teenagers to do locally, especially the frenetic and hyper-active ones (yes, we've had our own so we do know what they demand!).
For very young children and babies, the gite is probably not the ideal location.
We are keen to maintain our high standards of cleanliness within the Gite and gardens and that may mean we have to decline a booking with babies or very young children. We do, however, have a travel cot and a high chair which can be used and we would look at each booking request on its merits. It is a difficult call. We don't want you to be stressed every moment you are with us, nor do we wish to be anxious ourselves all week. If we can work something out we will. Having our own young grandchildren visit us occasionally we once again know what it can be like at feeding time, even with all the attention we can give to them.
We do hope you understand our feelings.
